Roseville

Roseville Auto Mall

Roseville is a study in contrasts. New development surrounds a core city that is over a hundred years old. For years the main industry in this south Placer County city was the railroad. Today Roseville is a center for high tech industry, with companies like Hewlett Packard and NEC Electronics.

Roseville is growing rapidly. Current population is about 75,000. Everywhere in town there are new buildings going up, commercial buildings along Douglas Blvd., Eureka Rd., Harding Blvd. and

new homes concentrated in the northwest section of town.

Roseville is the major hub for retail shopping in South Placer County with Costco, Borders Books, Target, Blockbuster Video, Home Depot, Office Max, etc. A new regional mall, Galleria at Roseville is anchored by Nordstrom's, Macy's, JC Penney, and Sears.

In contrast to the new, are the older and charming parts of Roseville. The original downtown offers an alternative

shopping experience with antique stores, cafes and the historic Tower Theater.

During the summer months the Old Roseville downtown area is home to the Downtown Market on Tuesday nights.

Another unique shopping experience is offered by Denio's Roseville Farmer's Market and Auction, where you can buy fresh produce, furniture, clothes and other odds and ends at bargain prices.

Another aspect of the older part of town is the charming homes that you will find on tree lined streets.

There is plenty to keep the family entertained in Roseville, Golfland, an enclosed arcade with miniature golf course, two multi-screen movie theaters, an ice rink as well as the Roseville Aquatics Complex with water slide and Olympic size swimming pool.

The Roseville dining experience has recently expanded with addition of

a number of new restaurants, such as Piatti, Cafe Bernardo, Mikuni Japanese Restaurant and Sushi Bar, Macaroni Grill and Baja Fresh Mexican Grill.

Roseville has more than 20 parks, nearly double the state standard for cities. Included among the parks is the Maidu Regional Park consisting of 152 acres. In addition there are two public golf courses.

When it comes to living, Roseville offers

an unmatched spectrum of homes from older homes built in the early 1900's to modern master planned communities. Sun City an active senior community has been an overwhelming success.
